Madhya Pradesh: Five ministers take oath in first expansion

Bhopal: Five BJP leaders on Tuesday took oath as cabinet ministers in the first expansion of the council of ministers in Madhya Pradesh.

BJP leader Narottam Mishra today took oath as minister in Madhya Pradesh Cabinet.

The five, including a woman and two ex-MLAs, were sworn in by Governor Lalji Tandon at a simple function in the Raj Bhawan amid the coronavirus-induced lockdown.

BJP leader Narottam Mishra along with Kamal Patel, Meena Singh, Tulsi Silawat and Govind Singh Rajput took oath as minister today in the first cabinet expansion after Shivraj Singh Chouhan returned to power.

On March 23 last month, Shivraj Singh Chouhan took oath as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh following the resignation of 22 Congress MLAs that led to the fall of Kamal Nath-led Congress government in the state.

Chief Minister Chouhan was present at the ceremony. The state was without a cabinet since last two months owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Chouhan was sworn in CM on March 23.
