ACP tests positive for coronavirus in Ludhiana

Ludhiana: An assistant commissioner of police tested positive for novel coronavirus in Ludhiana in Punjab, a health official said on Monday.

Ludhiana Police Commissioner Rakesh Agarwal said the test of ACP- North is positive for coronavirus.

Ludhiana Civil Surgeon Rajesh Bagga said the test reports of the officer, confirming him to be positive for the virus, came on Sunday night.

The ACP (North) was admitted to a local hospital, Bagga said, adding that the health teams were identifying his contacts.

The official was unwell for the last two weeks.

His first test for coronavirus was negative, however, his condition was not improving. Following which other test was taken.

At present, the ACP is on a ventilator.

Confirming it, Ludhiana Police Commissioner Rakesh Agarwal said the test of ACP- North is positive for coronavirus.
