Deepak Trivedi elected President of UP IAS Association

Lucknow: Deepak Trivedi, chairman of UP Revenue Council, has been elected the new president of IAS Association of Uttar Pradesh.

Deepak Trivedi has been made the new president of UP IAS Association.

This decision was taken at the executive meeting of the association. The association’s post of president was vacant after Sanjeev Saran retired.

As per tradition, the senior-most officer of the IAS cadre posted in UP is elected for the president of the association.

R K Tiwari is currently the senior-most IAS officer posted in UP, but he cannot be the president of the association as he is working as Chief Secretary of the state.

Therefore, after him, Deepak Trivedi of the senior most, batch has been made the chairman.

Association Secretary Ranjan Kumar has confirmed the appointment of Deepak Trivedi as President.

In response to a question, he said that due to the coronavirus and the end month of financial year, decision to organize IAS Week has been kept in abeyance.
