Central employees to retire on 33 years of service or at 60

New Delhi: The central government is going to change the retirement age of its employees.

Under the proposal that retirement age can be determined in two ways. If the first employee has completed 33 years of service or has attained 60 years of age on his own.

Retirement age change has also been mentioned in the Seventh Pay Commission.

DOPT sources said that it finalized the proposal for implementation of retirement age of 33 years service or 60 years age whichever is early for all government employees. File sent to Finance Ministry for implementation.

The new rules of retirement age will be implemented from the next financial year after the approval of the Finance Ministry.

If this scheme of retirement age is implemented, it will have some benefits, such as the problem of the backlog will go away, new promotion opportunities will be created, then the path of new jobs will also be paved, employees who complain of not getting promotion on time, they will also get the benefit of this.The lateral entry scheme can also be implemented well.
