New Delhi: The Delhi Police public relations officer, DCP Rajan Bhagat, has been transferred after serving the post for over a decade.

"The allegations of conspiracy against the Delhi Police are baseless," Delhi Police PRO Rajan Bhagat said.

Delhi Police PRO Rajan Bhagat has been posted as DCP(CRO).

An order issued by the DCP (establishment) on behalf of the Commissioner of Police yesterday stated that Rajan Bhagat will now look after the work of DCP Crime Records Office(CRO) only. His office will be at the CRO located at Kamla Market.

Bhagat became PRO of Delhi Police in 2006 and served for over a decade on the post under several Commissioners including YS Dadwal, B K Gupta, Neeraj Kumar and B S Bassi.

After Alok Kumar took charge as Commissioner of Police, Special Commissioner(Crime) Taj Hasan was appointed as chief spokesperson of Delhi Police.

Later, Joint Commissioner (south west range) Depender Pathak was also made the spokesperson of the national capital police.

The serach for the new DCP PRO has started with senior officers looking for a suitable candidate among the additional DCPs and DCPs not engaged in discharging duties in the districts, sources said.
