CBI arrests 2 RBI officials in Bengaluru for alleged currency conversion of demonetised notes

New Delhi: The CBI on Saturday arrested two RBI officials from Bengauluru in connection with unauthorised exchange of demonetised notes.

The two officials who were arrested are Senior Special Assistant Sadananda Naika and Special Assistant A K Kavin of Cash department of RBI.

The both employees were reportedly involved in alleged currency conversion of Rs 1.99 crore illegally post demonetisation.

This is the second arrest of RBI employees in the city.

Earlier on December 13, CBI had arrested an RBI official while he was allegedly trying to convert Rs 1.51 crore of old currency notes.
