Hyderabad: An IPS officer suffered an elbow fracture in a hit-and-run case involving a biker near KBR Park on Sunday morning.
The mishap occurred at 7 am when Hyderabad DIG Akun Sabharwal was returning to his residence on Road Number 10 in Jubilee Hills after a morning jog at KBR Park.
As the officer was crossing the road near Chiranjeevi blood bank at Jubilee Hills Check Post, a biker riding in the wrong direction dashed into him and sped away.
Locals rushed Sabharwal to Apollo hospital. Calling it a minor incident, Sabharwal said that his left elbow was fractured, and the offender fled the spot before he could take down the bike’s registration number.
