Mathura: Taking exception to their not providing information under the Right to Information (RTI) Act, UP State Information Commissioner Gajendra Yadav has slapped a fine of Rs 25,000 each on 10 officers, including an Additional District Magistrate.
The officers have been asked to remain present personally on the next date of hearing.
“Be present personally on the next date of hearing to explain the delay,” the order said.
They have also been asked to “provide information” to the applicant within 10 days.
The officers — ADM (law and order) Surendra Kumar Sharma, Executive Engineer EDD (Kosi Kalan) SK Tyagi, Panchayat Raj officer RP Yadav, Tahsildar (Mat) Rati Ram Yadav, DIOS Mukesh Raizada, Tahsildar (Sadar) RK Yadav, BDO (Naujheel) Shiv Pratap Singh, Assistant Labour Commissioner AK Singh, Chief Medical Superintendent Dr KP Garg and Bal Vikas Pariyojna Adhikari Raya have been found guilty of not providing the information in time.
They have also been found guilty of being indifferent and slow in providing information to the applicant and disobeying the orders of the State Information Commissioner on the second appeal of the applicants.
