“I have submitted my reply to the party’s show cause notice. I have put up facts,” Sahani told PTI today.

In response to a query on the content of his reply submitted yesterday, Sahani said “Sharad Yadavji will tell you about this.”

People close to Sahani said, the MP had repeated the same thing in his reply which he had been saying in his defence since the Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari gave his approval to CBI to prosecute the JD(U) MP against whom the agency had filed a charge sheet for his alleged involvement in LTC Scam.

Sahani, who is a second term Rajya Sabha member, reiterated his stand that he was innocent and had actually exposed the alleged LTC scam.

CBI had filed a charge sheet against Sahani alleging that he, in conspiracy with other persons, used forged e-tickets and fake boarding passes to defraud Rajya Sabha to the tune of Rs 23.71 lakh as travel and daily allowance reimbursement without undertaking the actual journey.
