Andhra Pradesh CM Naidu announces sops for govt employees

Amaravati: After inaugurating the interim secretariat at Velagapudi village in Amaravati, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday announced sops to the government employees who will be relocating to the new secretariat by mid-June.

He said five-day week working rule would be implemented for the secretariat employees keeping in view of their problems in shifting to the new capital city.

The employees would be granted 30 per cent house rent allowance (HRA) on a par with the HRA being paid in Hyderabad.

He said the government is ready to address all their grievances but wanted the employees to promise him to extend a corruption-free administration to the people.

The employees should not keep the files pending for long and ensure speedy administration.

The CM said that they would take up construction of 5,000 houses for the employees in the capital city area.
