CBI sources said that a formal notice will be served at Pareek residence requiring him to be present before the agency for questioning.

Sources didn’t rule out the possibility of his arrest. Sources also said that further action against commissioner Pawan Kumar Jain will depend on the outcome of the questioning with Pareek. The commissioner Jain is also likely to be arrested after statements of absconding assistant commissioner Pareek before CBI.

The CBI on Thursday night had arrested two private persons – Sunil and Lalaram who allegedly used to take bribe on behalf of commissioner Jain and assistant commissioner Pareek. The duo are currently in four-day CBI custody for interrogation.

CBI is interrogating both about the Jain and Parrek to gather any possible evidences of the two officer’s involvement in corruption cases.

Both private persons were arrested after a trader lodged a complaint against the Jain and Pareek when they accepted Rs 2 lakh from him on behalf of commissioner and assistant commissioner to release the seized imported goods of the trader placed in container at ICD, Jaipur.

CBI raided the homes and offices of Jain and Pareek. Raids were conducted simultaneously at all the places, including Jain’s homes in Jaipur and Delhi which led to recovery of certain documents of properties.
