Dehradun: The fake IAS officer, Ruby Chaudhry, who was arrested earlier this week for illegally staying in the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Administration Academy (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, was admitted to state government-run Doon Hospital in Dehradun on Thursday for a few hours.
Ruby was taken to hospital after she complained of feeling unwell and pain in the right limb.
Doctors ruled out any serious complication but kept her under observation for nearly 10 hours in the hospital. She was later discharged late in the evening.
“We got all tests done and everything turned out to be normal,” Mukesh Sundriyal, Hospital’s senior physician, said.
Ruby’s remand will end on Friday. Her relatives, who were present in the hospital, said they would meet Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat seeking a CBI investigation into the case.
After the Uttarakhand Police took Ruby under a four-day police remand on April 6, a special investigation team (SIT) was formed to probe her stay at the IAS Academy.
Police sources claim they have also recovered the fake IAS officer’s uniform, books and other documents from her possession.
Meanwhile, the SIT is yet to question senior officers of the IAS Academy, who allegedly helped Ruby in her unauthorised stay at the academy.
Besides the unauthorised stay, people are also shocked that Ruby figures in a group photograph of IAS probationers with President Pranab Mukherjee.
