CPI(M) demand release of pending salaries for JK employees
Jammu: The CPI (M) today demanded that the pending salaries of the daily wage workerscas and other employees must be paid at the earliest as the workers were facing several hardships.
“The casual workers, daily wagers in all departments, SSA teachers, ASHA and Anganwari workers, numbering in thousands, have not been paid their wages for the past several months” CPI(M) MLA, M Y Tarigami said today.
“There is a widespread resentment brewing up among thousands of casual labourers, daily wagers and SSA Teachers in Jammu and Kashmir as they have not been paid their wages and salaries for the past several months,” he added.
Tarigami demanded the immediate release of wages of the concerned workers to enable them to shoulder their familial responsibilities.
He said that these workers were expecting that their salaries would be released immediately after PDP-BJP forms the government but unfortunately these workers have been put to more sufferings and government seems least bothered about their plight.
He said that despite repeated reminders through deputations, demonstrations the successive governments have failed to evolve a mechanism wherein these workers will get their wages and salaries on time without any hassles.
“The present government must clear their pending dues, which has created uncertainty among the ranks of workers and other employees working under various centrally sponsored schemes,” Tarigami said.
