Dehradun: In a minor reshuffle, Uttarakhand government on Thursday changed the responsibilities of several bureaucrats in the state.Director General information and public relations department Ravi Nath Raman was posted as Dehradun’s new district magistrate, IAS officer Arvind Singh Hayanki was posted in place of Raman, an official release here said.
Chandresh Yadav was transferred from the post of district magistrate Dehradun and posted as additional secretary, food.
Harish Chand Semwal, who is currently posted as Pithoragarh district magistrate, was shifted to Haridwar where the district magistrate’s post had been lying vacant for about a month ever since previous district magistrate Santhil Pandiyan was made additional secretary in state government.
Semwal, who was accused of selling government land on throwaway prices to some private parties in Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts in 2012-13. He was was suspended for this charge, was later reinstated after the completion of his one year suspension period.
