Amarendra Sinha appointed as Special Secretary in Ministry of MSME
New Delhi: Senior IAS officer Amarendra Sinha has been appointed as Special Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) on Thursday.Sinha, a 1981 batch IAS officer of Uttarakhand cadre, has been working as Additional Secretary in the same Ministry.
Sinha, who was born on June 19, 1957 in Delhi, is a Law graduate from Delhi University.
Sinha has been on central deputation since 2010. He was holding the charge of Joint Secretary in the same Ministry from the beginning of central deputation.
“The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Nandita Chatterjee, IAS (WB:80) as Member Secretary, National Commission for Women, in the rank and pay of Secretary in-situ basis,” an official statement from the Department of Personnel and Training said today.
The ACC has also approved the appointment of Ranglal Jamuda, IAS (OR:81) as Special Secretary in-situ basis, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation in Ministry of Agriculture, it said.
Whereas, the Competent authority has approved that Sudhir Bhargava, IAS (RJ:79), Department of Social Justice and Empowerment will hold additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in Ministry of Social Justice for a period of one month with effect from January 1, 2015 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Dr Shailesh Nayak, Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences was given additional charge of Secretary, Department of Space for a period of one month with effect from January 1, 2015 or until the appointment or a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
