Central employees with disabled children exempted from compulsory transfer
New Delhi: Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Jitendra Singh on Saturday said that the central government has exempted employees with disabled children from compulsory transfer.
“Some children need special attention from their parents; such employeess will be exempted from such provisions (transfers). It will not be mandatory for them to change their place of work,” Jitendra Singh said here while launching the Ministry’s e-book on Good Governance simplified.
The e-book cites good governance initiatives taken by the department of Personnel and Training, which Singh heads.
He said the government would launch a pilot project in Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu and in Maharashtra for training of state government officials to improve governance.
“I have mentioned about the pilot project in Tamil Nadu, Jammu and Kashmir and Maharashtra for training. We are going to implement it in the first week of January,” added Singh.
The government would soon introduce a programme for its bureaucrats to interact with school students.
“We will very soon introduce a provision for the bureaucrats to interact with students. Let us see how it evolves. I think both the sections would feel benefited from each other,” he said.
