Rajasthan ACB arrests police officer in bribery case

Bikaner: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Rajasthan has arrested the additional superintendent of police of Ganganagar district in a case of graft for allegedly demanding Rs two lakh bribe, official sources said here.

The arrest took place on Monday night, the sources in the ACB said, adding that a middleman has also been held from the Srikaranpur area.

“Accused Additional SP Amrit Jeengar had demanded a bribe of Rs two lakh to settle a case. After verification of the complaint, the accused official was caught from his official residence late last night,” a source said.

A senior ACB official in Jaipur said Jeengar’s house in Jodhpur has been seized and the matter is being probed.
