WB govt extends tenure of Sixth Pay Commission

Kolkata: The West Bengal government on Monday extended the tenure of the Sixth State Pay Commission till December this year, a Finance department order said. The sixth pay commission was set up by the West Bengal government in November 2015 to recommend restructuring of the salary of the government employees.

The pay commission got an extension for submitting its report containing recommendations of restructuring of the salary of state government employees, the order said. “The governor is pleased to extend the term of the office of the Chairman and the member of 6th Pay Commission, West Bengal, constituted under Finance Department up to December 31, 2019, the notification said.
