Maliwal’s tenure as DCW chief extended

Delhi government has extended the tenure of DCW Chairperson Swati Maliwal till 2021 for her “excellent work”.

New Delhi: The Delhi government has extended the tenure of Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson Swati Maliwal till 2021 for her “excellent work”.

Her tenure was to end on July 27.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a tweet said he has approved another term for Maliwal as she has been doing an excellent job.

“Approved another term for @SwatiJaiHind on Friday. She has been doing excellent work (sic),” he tweeted.

The DCW chief replied to the tweet saying, “Thank you so much Sir for your constant support. We will work twice as hard this term to reach our goal – safety, dignity and equality for all women and girls of Delhi (sic).
