A case has been registered against the enforcement officer Samiran Kumar Mondal, alleging that he had demanded for Rs One lakh because the complainant was not complying with provisions of Provident Fund Act.

It was further alleged that Mondal scaled down his demand to Rs 20,000 as the complainant expressed his inability to pay such a huge amount and directed the complainant to pay him the said gratification.

The CBI laid a trap and caught Mondal red handed.

Searches have been conducted at the office and residential premises of the enforcement officer.

Further investigations on.
