Haryana CM Khattar suspends six officials for dereliction of duty

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday suspended six officials for alleged dereliction of duty in connection with the handling of complaints received on the CM’s window.

Those suspended are Kuljit Dahiya, block development and panchayat officer of Bapoli (Panipat); Ashok Chikara, his predecessor; Arvind Malik, Jind’s district development and panchayat officer; and Dr JS Grewal, Hisar’s civil surgeon; apart from two junior employees of Bapoli.

An official spokesperson said that a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr Rakesh Gupta, and OSD, Bhupeshwar Dayal, to review the working of the CM Grievances Cell.

It was informed that 1,43,930 complaints were received on the CM’s window since December 25, 2014, out of which 1,04,420 were disposed of.

Suspended officials have been failed to give clarifications regarding 10,820 among other complaints, said the spokesperson.
