Modi asks bureaucrats to work with team spirit, trust

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today asked bureaucrats to work with mutual team spirit and trust besides encouraging them to go for innovation and make judicious use of technology.

Interacting informally with about 100 IAS officers of Additional Secretary and Joint Secretary rank who are participating in a mid-career training programme, he underlined the need for enhancement of administrative capacities and processes.

He emphasized the importance of continuous innovation and enhancement of administrative capacities and processes, a PMO statement said.

The Prime Minister urged officers to work with mutual team spirit and trust, the statement added.

He spoke of the importance of judicious use of technology and infrastructure in administration and also mentioned his interaction with various ministries and state governments through the PRAGATI platform, it said.

During the interaction, the officers shared their experiences in areas such as development works; agriculture, irrigation and food-processing; inflation; public health; tribal and social welfare; female foeticide and skill development.

Modi appreciated the thoughts and suggestions expressed by the officers, the statement said.

Minister of State in the PMO Jitendra Singh, Cabinet Secretary P K Sinha and Additional Principal Secretary in the PMO P K Mishra were present on the occasion.
