In a complaint to the Odisha Commission of Women, Indulata Das, the wife of Additional Chief Secretary Taradatt, has alleged that she had been mentally harassed by her husband for extra-marital affair.

She strongly claimed that the senior IAS officer Taradatt is allegedly having an extra-marital affair with another bureaucrat in Delhi.

“My husband is having an affair with another woman and I am being harassed for this. I feel very unsafe and want justice,” Indulata said.

In her petition, she has requested the state commission for women “to take a very strong cognisance of this matter and grant me justice”.

The women commission has assured all help to the wife of the bureaucrat in connection with the case.

“We will take all necessary steps required in the case,” said Lopamudra Bauxipatra, chairperson, State Commission for Women.

Claiming fears for her life, she had also approached Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in 2014.
