Neeraj Mittal appointed Senior Adviser to World Bank ED

New Delhi: IAS officer Neeraj Mittal was Tuesday appointed as senior Adviser to Executive Director of World Bank in Washington.

Mittal, a 1992 batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu Cadre, is presently working as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

He has been appointed for a period of three years from the date of taking over charge of the post, an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training ( DoPT) said.

During his IAS career, Mittal had served in various departments in his parent cadre state and centre.

Mittal is an electrical engineering graduate from IIT, Kanpur, holds an MBA degree from Cranfield University, UK and is a PhD (MIS) from Ohio State University, USA.
