Prithvish Nag reappointed as VC of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik today reappointed Prithvish Nag as the Vice Chancellor of the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi, a release issued by Raj Bhawan said here.

Prithvish Nag has been reappointed today as the Vice Chancellor of the  Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi.

Prithvish Nag has been reappointed today as the Vice Chancellor of the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi.

The Governor also appointed Yadunath Prasad Dubey as Vice Chancellor of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University (SSU), Varanasi and S L Goswami as Vice Chancellor of Banda University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda.

The tenure of the Vice Chancellors will be of three years from the date of their joining.

Nag was appointed as Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth (MGKV), Varanasi on August 1, 2011 for a period of three years, which was extended upto his reappointment.

Nag holds a PhD degree from Banaras Hindu University. He has also done Post Doctoral Research from School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.

Nag worked as Director, National Atlas and Thematic Mapping Organisation. He also served as a Surveyor General of India between December, 2001 and February, 2005.
