Madhusudhan takes charge as Urban Development Secretary

New Delhi: Madhusudhan Prasad today took charge as Urban Development Secretary, replacing Shankar Aggarwal, who was shifted to Ministry of Labour and Employment as same capacity.

Prasad, a 1981 batch IAS officer of Haryana cadre, was Special Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce before joining as Urban Development Secretary.

Prasad held the posts of Collector of Sirsa district and Principal Secretary (Power) in the Government of Haryana before he moved over to the central government.

He worked as Director and Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs and Additional Secretary and Special Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce.

Madhusudhan Prasad also served as Economic Counsellor in the Indian Embassy in Washington, US.
